Are subscribers to this list really so fragile that a little PR upsets 
us so?  No one forces you to read the messages.  Killfile them, ignore 
the threads, etc.  Not that big a deal.

The release of a "lite" edition may be interesting to readers.  It is 
possible that press releases or CMS-related announcements may be ignored 
or buried by the traditional press.  Here is an audience of people with 
interest in CMS technology, a CMS company posts information about a 
product--seems pretty natural.

Posting a message about a CMS product to a CMS list is not an abuse of 
netiquette (everyone acts as though there's a law and that they've never 
broken it).  Posting a message that's /not/ CMS related to a CMS list is.
