Bastiaan,

We created a flowchart plug-in for our web publishing/content management
platform for use in creating standard operating procedures and
organizational charts. This feature was created specifically for one of
our customer's that wanted to distribute standard operating procedures
(SOPs) via their intranet/extranet, they had a company standard of
utilizing simple flowcharts for their SOPs.

The flowchart is created by adding specific types of content into the
system, with the system handling all of the drawing requirements (mainly
via XSL and CSS). Currently, we have done this without utilizing
anything like SVG. However, we are considering implementing a SVG
version in the future to further enhance the look.

If you are interested we have sample flowchart (SOP) and Organizational
Charts on our web site at
http://www.ittrium.com/ittrium/servlet/visit?path=A1x66x1y1x11fx1y1x68bx
1y1x7dcx1

Screen real-estate becomes a definite issue when attempting large org
charts, one of the sample we have utilizes nested charts to help with
this issue...

Hope you can learn something that helps you in your task.

Subject: [CMS-Forum] Org chart

Hi All,

I'm would like to create a very good orgchart on my companies intranet.
Does someone have any experience to make this look good? Is there some
cms-s that take this into account?

Otherwise I'm thinking of programming it in combination with
javascript/dhtml and our database.

thanks,
          Bastiaan
