As a caveat to this, please do not over-trim in order to simplify the
arguments to which you're responding, and indicate where you've
trimmed. I tend to prefer the symbol [...] for this.

If you don't understand why this is a problem, immediately switch to a
threaded mailreader.

On the other side of this, if you're continuning the thread but
changing the subject, please change the subject line.
I'd also include here some other general mailing list rules:
- No ad hominem attacks.
- No HTML mail.
- Short signatures only.
